Jennifer Woolley is a co-founder and managing director of Katsu Hijinks. Jennifer is an expert in entrepreneurship and is the winner of the prestigious Academy of Managment Heizer New Enterprise Development Award, the Booz-Allen Hamilton Strategic Management Society Phd Fellowship Award, the Ray Watson Doctoral Fellowship, a Kauffman Foundation Fellowship and the Regents Fellowship at UC Irvine. She has presented at numerous conferences as well as the Federal Reserve Board and the Kaufmann Foundation. Her works have been published in various referred journals including Organizational Science, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice and Advances in International Management Research Series
She is a tenured Professor of Managment at Santa Clara University where she has taught Fulbright Scholars, was Dean of the California Program for Entreprenuership and heads the new Masters of Entrepreneurship program. Jennifer founded two companies, RFID Source and Felix Vivo. She has also advised countless start-ups. Prior to Katsu Hijinks she was a senior financial analyst at Ericsson Wireless where she evaluted investment deals from $1 million in size to over $100 million. Before Ericsson she was a research analyst at Ashley Kumar & Co, a start-up equity research firm.
In her alternate life, Jennifer is an artist that creates post-impressionist paintings.
Julian Lin is a co-founder and managing director of Katsu Hijinks. He is also a managing director of Hillcrest Venture Partners where he manages the firm's investment in Jeda Networks, Notion and Titan Photonics. He also managed the firm’s investment in FastSoft (acquired by Akamai, NASDAQ: AKAM) and QuickFire Networks (acquired by Facebook, NASDAQ: FB).
Before working in venture capital, Julian co-founded Westhold Corporation, one of the leading companies providing radio frequency timing and scoring systems. His systems can be found throughout the world on local dirt tracks to super speedways. His technical expertise and entrepreneurial experience has made him a sought after leader of multiple venture-backed companies that have raised more than $700 million in funding. Julian was previously Managing Engineer of Communications Software for Conexant Systems (NASDAQ: CNXT). Prior to working at Conexant, Julian was Global Managing Engineer - Handheld Telecom Instruments for Textron (NYSE: TXT). As a technical consultant, Julian helped develop several successful companies, including Tempo Research (acquired by Textron, NYSE: TXT); Equator Technologies (acquired by Pixelworks, NASDAQ: PXLW); and Entropic Communications (IPO, NASDAQ: ENTR).
In his alternate life, Julian is a martial arts practioner and instructor that trained with the 1962 All Japan Champion. He also designs jewelry to counter-balance his martial side.
